Children at Evergreen

Join us at the Greenhouse!
A place where young children are
thoughtfully nurtured and grown.

As you can see from the picture on his page, Pastor Chip Giessler's interest in children is personal! He and Laura have twin 13 year olds and an eight year old. Laura has a Masters in Education (Cal- Berkeley, '89), has taught public school for 7 years, and is currently a reading specialist with the Loudoun County Public Schools. So it's no surprise that children hold a very important place in the life of Evergreen Church.

Every Sunday, you will find loving, experienced adults providing engaging children's ministry at the Evergreen Greenhouse.

	In addition to a nursery (0-1 years) . . .
	. . .you'll find special classes in the Greenhouse full of fun activities for two year olds through 1st graders.  Loving, experienced adults provide engaging, bible-based lessons and activities. Our two and three year olds attend the Sprouts class, and 4-6 year olds make up the Saplings.
	Older children will be with adults in the worship center. 2nd & 3rd and 4th & 5th graders leaving for Kids' Point (a message specially designed for them) mid-way through the worship service.

All our 4 year olds through 5^th graders attend 3…2...1…Worship each week, a time when the kids come together for music, offering, memory verse of the month and special activities. 

The Children and Youth Choir practices each Sunday from 12:15-1:15 at the Evergreen House (just down the road).  All children 2^nd grade and older are invited to attend.

These ministry opportunities for children are available every week, but parents' judgment is the deciding factor on where a child spends his or her time at Evergreen.

At Evergreen Church, it is our goal to enhance the spiritual training you are giving your child at home. We want to provide the children with meaningful opportunities to learn about God, while giving you the freedom to focus on God during your own time of worship.  Please feel free to take advantage of all that the Greenhouse has to offer.
